SCIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SOCIETY
The course explores the role of science and knowledge creation within the 21st Century. Case studies are drawn from social studies of science considering the social dimension of the discovery sciences. Topics include: Genetics/genetic fingerprinting; technological innovation; the uses and representations of scientific knowledge in media and political discourse.
